Complaints procedure

How to tell us when something has gone wrong, and what we will do about it.

Draft for review. Inky prepared this page from a standard template. It is a starting point, not legal advice. Check every statement is true for your organisation, fill in anything shown in [square brackets], and delete this notice before you publish.

We want to get things right. If we have not, we want to know so we can put it right and learn from it.

How to complain

You can complain to us by email, by telephone or in writing:

Phillips Electrical Contractors Limited
[postal address - to be added]
Email: info@spec-electrical.co.uk
Telephone: 01243 828346 (Mobile: 07738 686510)

Please tell us:

  • your name and how to contact you;
  • what went wrong, when it happened and who you dealt with, if you know; and
  • what you would like us to do about it.

If you need help to make a complaint, or would like to use a different format, tell us and we will arrange it.

What happens next

  1. We acknowledge your complaint. [Review: state your target, for example within 5 working days.]
  2. We look into it. Someone who was not involved in the matter will look at what happened where we can.
  3. We reply. [Review: state your target, for example a full reply within 20 working days.] If it will take longer, we will tell you why and when to expect an answer.

If you are still not satisfied

If you are not happy with our reply, you can ask us to review it. [Review: describe your escalation step, and add the external body that applies to your organisation, such as an ombudsman or regulator, with its address.]
